More than half of all UK motorists suffered some sort of damage to their vehicle in a car park in 2015, according to recent research. However, the majority of these damages were superficial and did not require the motorist to submit an insurance claim.
Nevertheless, 8 per cent of motorists surveyed said they would drive off if they hit another car, while two-thirds of motorists said that if they were to damage another vehicle, they would make the effort to notify the owner.
